Alastar graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 1999.  Alastar's practice is a mixture of transactional law and litigation.  Alastar has tried cases in federal and state courts, argued before the appellate courts and is a member of the Northern District of Illinois trial bar.  Alastar has a diverse range of clients including construction companies, energy efficiency companies, municipalities and hospitality groups.  Alastar is very active in the energy efficiency world, advising companies that develop and construct high-efficiency buidlings.  He also sits on the board of the Geothermal Alliance of Illinois, the geothermal trade association for the state of Illinois.
