| John Sheldon
is an associate with Kozacky & Weitzel, P.C. He
has more
than seven years of experience representing both plaintiffs
and defendants in various aspects of state and federal
commercial litigation including contract disputes,
fraud claims, construction and real estate disputes,
bankruptcy litigation and employment litigation. Mr.
Sheldon has trial experience in both state and federal
court. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Sheldon
worked as a prosecutor for the Cook County State's
Attorney's Office, in that office's criminal appellate
and juvenile delinquency divisions.
Mr. Sheldon received a Bachelor of Science degree
in broadcast journalism with a minor in psychology
from Syracuse University. He received his law degree
from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. While
at Loyola, Mr. Sheldon was a Case Editor for the Loyola
University Chicago Consumer Law Review and was a member
of Loyola's ISBA Moot Court Team, which was awarded
best brief and finished second overall in competition
among Illinois law schools.
Mr. Sheldon is admitted to practice law in the State
of Illinois and the United States District Court for
the Northern District of Illinois. He is a member
of the Chicago Bar Association and the American Bar
Association..
